PSG have reportedly set their sights on another Barcelona player as they look to build on last season’s historic treble and strengthen their position as Europe’s top club.
The French side have reportedly long pursued Barcelona talent, a strategy that has brought several players to Paris over the years.
Recent additions Arnau Tenas and Ousmane Dembele have continued that trend, joining a squad that already features Neymar Jr., Lionel Messi, and Xavi Simons. Still, one Barcelona player have reportedly shown little chance of making the same move.
Barcelona Are Breathing a Sigh of Relief

According to Mundo Deportivo’s Fernando Polo, Barcelona are making headway in talks to renew Eric García’s contract, prompting PSG to ease their pursuit. Moreover, the club aims to finalize an agreement before 2026.
SPORT previously reported that Garcia is stepping back from a potential move to PSG, with a contract extension at Barcelona now close to completion. The new deal would keep him at the club through June 2029, with an option for an extra year.

The outlet also noted that PSG were monitoring Garcia’s situation, as his current contract expires at the end of the season, allowing the French club to open direct talks in January. Despite outside interest, SPORT revealed that Barcelona coach Hansi Flick is determined to hold on to Garcia. The defender has decided to remain with the Spanish side and sign the extension.
