A Tottenham Hotspur centre-back has allegedly already held a meeting with Besiktas, if reports from Turkey are to be believed.

There is undoubtedly some worry at Spurs over the futures of their big stars ahead of the summer window as the club are mired in a battle for Premier League survival.

There is expected to be a mass exodus from Tottenham should the club be relegated, with several clubs already eyeing raiding N17 for some big-name stars.

In fact, reports indicate that some at Spurs are panicked about the possibility of losing Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero, even if the club stays up.

Kevin Danso could also leave Tottenham this summer

It has now emerged that Van de Ven and Romero may not be the only centre-backs to leave Spurs this summer, with Kevin Danso also attracting transfer interest.

According to a report in Fanatik, Danso has emerged as a target for Besiktas ahead of the summer window.

The Turkish side are planning to restructure their defence at the end of this campaign, and they have identified the Tottenham man as the preferred partner for Emmanuel Agbadou.

In fact, the outlet claims that Besiktas have already met with Danso and are now planning for an approach when the transfer window reopens.

Besiktas failed with a move for Danso in January

Fanatik say that the Istanbul club first made contact with the Austrian during the winter transfer window, but they were unable to reach a financial agreement with Tottenham.

The report says that Besiktas were looking to complete a deal of around €20m (£17.2m) for Danso, who was signed by Tottenham from Lens for €25m (£21.5m) around a year ago.

The outlet asserts that the 27-year-old defender is receptive to the idea of moving to the Tupras Stadium in the summer.
