Bournemouth have signed midfielder Amine Adli for £25.1m from Bayer Leverkusen.

The 25-year-old joins the Premier League side on a five-year contract and becomes the seventh incoming transfer of the summer for Andoni Iraola's team.

The Morocco international is a versatile option for Bournemouth and primarily plays as a number 10 but also has history of playing on both flanks and as a striker.

Adli has played 143 matches for German Bundesliga club Leverkusen, notably getting 10 goals and 12 assists in 42 matches as the side won the league and cup double under former manager Xabi Alonso during the 2023-24 campaign.

The Cherries have now spent over 400m euros (£346m) on transfers under the ownership of American billionaire Bill Foley, who took over the club just before the January 2023 window.

The club also has a substantial selling record with defenders Milos Kerkez, Dean Huijsen and Illia Zabarnyi all leaving for around £150m to Liverpool, Real Madrid and Paris St-Germain respectively.

Bournemouth are getting close to completing their summer business and are targeting a potential loan move for Chelsea defender Axel Disasi, who the Blues would prefer to sell on a permanent basis.
