Brazil manager Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes has suffered an adductor injury in the friendly clash win over Senegal.
football.london asked Ancelotti how bad Gabriel Magalhaes' injury is, to which he provided an update on the defender.
"Bad? I don’t know, he had a problem on his adductor the medical staff have to check tomorrow," the Brazil manager stated.
"We are really sorry for this, really disappointed, when players have an injury I hope they can recover well and soon.”
This will come as a big blow to Arsenal who face Tottenham in the North London Derby in just over a week's time.
Riccardo Calafiori has also suffered a hip issue prior to joining up with the Italy squad, and reports suggest he might be returning to the club before the international break is over.
These are two of the Gunners' typical back four, with William Saliba and Jurrien Timber having come through clashes with France and the Netherlands, respectively, unscathed.
Mikel Arteta could call on both Myles Lewis-Skelly and Piero Hincapie should he need to replace either of Gabriel or Calafiori in the coming weeks.
Having not dealt with any issues in either of the previous two international breaks, Arteta's fears have finally been realised in November.
More than just the North London Derby, Arsenal face Bayern Munich and Chelsea in the days after in what is a massive week for the Gunners as they chase the Premier League title and the UEFA Champions League.
