Liam Rosenior is due in London this evening to finalise his switch to Chelsea. The 41-year-old is set to become the Blues' new head coach following the departure of Enzo Maresca earlier in the week.
Earlier this week, Rosenior emerged as the main candidate to replace Maresca as Blues head coach following the Italian's dramatic departure on New Year's Day. Maresca left Stamford Bridge 18 months into his reign after his relationship with the club's hierarchy broke down and his position was viewed as untenable.
Rosenior, who has been the head coach at Strasbourg since the summer of 2024, is viewed as the ideal candidate to replace Maresca. The former Hull City boss already has a working relationship with the hierarchy at Chelsea, with BlueCo also owning Strasbourg, while he is viewed as one of the country's brightest up-and-coming coaches.
