Rodri will miss Manchester City's Champions League clash with Galatasaray as a result of being sent off against Bodo/Glimt. The Sky Blues travelled to the Aspmyra Stadion to face the Norwegian titans in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

And while many football fans will have backed Pep Guardiola's side to secure a convincing victory from the encounter, the match ultimately played out in a polar opposite state of affairs. Kasper Hogh gave the hosts the lead 22 minutes in, before bagging a brace just moments later.

Jens Petter Hauge then put Bodo 3-0 up 58 minutes into the game, before Rayan Cherki managed to pull one back two minutes later. A long night at the office was made even longer when Rodri was shown an early exit for picking up a second yellow card.

The Spaniard was cautioned on the 61-minute mark for bringing down Hakon Evjen on the break. And just a minute later, Rodri was walking off the pitch as a result of a second foul during a Bodo/Glimt counter.

After picking up the ball from Phil Foden in his own half, Evjen sprayed it into the centre of the pitch before it was returned to the right-hand side to Ole Didrik Blomberg, who ran with pace. Beaten for speed, Rodri pulled back the winger, who ultimately tumbled to the turf before the referee's whistle was blown.

What resulted was a second yellow, and ultimately, a red for the midfielder.
