Wilson Odobert will have surgery for a ruptured ACL in yet another injury blow for Tottenham Hotspur to navigate.

The attacking-midfielder was subbed off just 35 minutes into Tuesday evening's 2-1 home loss to Newcastle United in the Premier League, after landing awkwardly on his leg. L'equipe reports that a source close to the club claims that the Frenchman is likely to undergo surgery in the coming days, and faces a lengthy period on the sidelines, as Spurs' injury issues continue to grow.

At the time of writing, Odobert becomes the 11th player in total currently out of action due to injury, while Cristian Romero is also set to miss Tottenham's next two games as a result of picking up a straight red card against Manchester United due to a late challenge on Casemiro.
