The latest Arsenal news as Bukayo Saka breaks his silence following Arsenal's heartbreaking draw against Sunderland on Saturday

Bukayo Saka has spoken to Arsenal fans via social media after the Gunners’ lead at the top of the Premier League was cut over the weekend.

Mikel Arteta’s side were minutes away from beating high-flying Sunderland away from home before substitute Brian Brobbey scored a 94th-minute overhead kick to break Arsenal hearts.

The result ended Arsenal’s 10-game winning streak and also denied them the chance to break their consecutive clean sheet record.

However, with Sunderland proving a tough side to beat this season - the Black Cats are yet to lose at home - Arteta shouldn’t be too disappointed with a point. Saka shared his thoughts on the result via Instagram.

The Arsenal forward posted: “Tough one to take yesterday. I want to thank all of our supporters that travelled so far, we appreciate you. See you all after the break.”

Manchester City comfortably beat Liverpool 3-0 on Sunday, cutting Arsenal’s gap over Pep Guardiola’s side to four points, down from six at the start of the weekend.

The two title rivals have already faced each other this season, when Gabriel Martinelli scored a 93rd-minute equaliser to earn Arteta’s side a hard-fought point against the eight-time Premier League winners.

Sky has slashed the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle for the 2025/26 season, saving members £336 and offering more than 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more.

Sky will show at least 215 live Premier League games this season, an increase of up to 100 more.

Arsenal are set to face City again in April, a fixture that could prove decisive in the title race with only five games left to play after that clash.

Guardiola’s side looked fragile earlier in the season after back-to-back defeats to Tottenham and Brighton, but aside from a 1-0 loss to Aston Villa away, City have since returned to their best form.

Arsenal, meanwhile, have lost just once in the league, a 1-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield, where Dominik Szoboszlai’s 32-yard free kick proved the difference.

Both City and Arsenal boast impressive defensive records this season, with the Gunners conceding only five goals compared to City’s eight. Both also hold a +15 goal difference.

One potential concern for City is if Erling Haaland suffers an injury. The Norwegian striker leads the club’s scoring charts with 14 league goals this season.

However, their next highest scorers, Jeremy Doku, Phil Foden, and five others, are all tied on just one goal each, leaving a large gap behind Haaland.

Arteta worked hard during the summer transfer window to strengthen his squad, ensuring that when key players are sidelined - such as Viktor Gyokeres currently - others are ready to step up.
