After Manchester City booked their place in the Carabao Cup Final, the Manchester Evening News gives you all of the information you need to know about the Wembley showpiece
Manchester City have booked their place in the Carabao Cup final after a 5-1 aggregate victory against Newcastle United.
After the two-legged battle with the Magpies, Pep Guardiola's side can now look towards their first League Cup final since the 2021 campaign. The City boss has lifted the competition four times in a row between 2018 and 2021 and will now have the opportunity to lift it a fifth time.
Taking a 2-0 lead into the second leg at the Etihad Stadium, City were clear favourites to book their place back at Wembley during Wednesday night's second leg. The clash was basically over after seven minutes, when Omar Marmoush made it 1-0 on the night and 3-0 on aggregate as Dan Burn's clearance bounced off him and past Aaron Ramsdale.
Marmoush grabbed his second of the game before the half-hour mark to make it 2-0 (4-0 on aggregate), as he headed in from close range after Kieran Trippier's clearance. City were well out of sight before half-time as Tihhani Reijners made it 3-0 on the night (5-0 aggregate).
It may have been damage limitation for Newcastle, but they did get a goal back in the second half through Anthony Elanga. What would have been a miraculous comeback didn't happen, and City can start planning for the final.
As Guardiola plots how he is going to overcome Premier League leaders Arsenal in the final, the Manchester Evening News provides you with everything you need to know about the clash.

The Carabao Cup final clash between City and the Gunners will take place on Sunday, March 22nd. As of right now, the kick off time is yet to be confirmed.
In previous years, it has got underway at 4.30pm and it is likely it will start at the same time. City's run to the final will mean their home clash against Crystal Palace, which was scheduled for that weekend, will have to be moved to another time.
How to purchase Carabao Cup final tickets
It has been confirmed by officials at Wembley Stadium the responsibility of selling tickets and managing the process will be carried out by the clubs involved. This means City will oversee how the tickets are distributed amongst the fan base.
As you would expect, Arsenal will be doing the exact same process for their own fanbase in the opposing section of the ground. City are set to confirm full sales details shortly.
