Celtic have stated their intention to appeal against the red card shown to Auston Trusty during Sunday's 2-1 home defeat by Hibernian.
The defender was dismissed at 1-1 following an incident with Hibs' Jamie McGrath as the pair jostled at a corner.
Should the dismissal be upheld, Trusty, 27, will be banned for three matches - Scottish Premiership games against Rangers (away), Aberdeen (away) and Motherwell (home).
Violent conduct carries a two-match suspension and Trusty would incur an additional one-match ban, having previously been sent off in the competition this season.
The United States international is available to face Rangers away in the Scottish Cup on 8 March.
