Chelsea seemingly have a plan in place to complete their next two transfers this summer. The Blues have already been busy in the market this summer and could bring more new additions to their squad.
Enzo Maresca's squad might have won the FIFA Club World Cup earlier this summer - but Chelsea will now have plans to have a successful time in the Premier League this season. Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, Dario Essugo, Jorrel Hato, Jamie Gittens and Estevao Willian have all been signed by Chelsea this summer and there is every likelihood of more to come.
Chelsea are interested in snapping-up both Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig and Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United before the September 1 deadline. Talks have been taking place to bring both players to Stamford Bridge and now a fresh update has emerged about the duo.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that Chelsea are still holding negotiations to sign both Simons and Garnacho, but will need some other deals to be completed first before they can officially become members of Maresca's squad.
It has been claimed that Chelsea are looking to sell both Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku this summer to free up space in their squad to be able to sign both Simons and Garnacho.
Jackson has been heavily linked with a move away from Chelsea this summer - with Newcastle United mentioned as the most likely destination for the Senegal international.
Nkunku has been credited as a potential target for Bayern Munich several times during his career at Chelsea, but it remains to be seen which club the France playmaker will be contracted to after the September 1 deadline.
Chelsea can end the 2024/25 Premier League season on a high, but it is never quiet at Stamford Bridge and the summer looks set to be one full of news, with Enzo Maresca looking for transfer to bolster his squad.
