The very latest on the future of Nicolas Jackson with the Chelsea striker expected to return to the club in the summer following his loan spell with Bayern Munich
Nicolas Jackson and his representatives are set to assess his options at the end of the season with the Bayern Munich loanee open to a return to Chelsea in the summer.
football.london understands the Senegal international is expected to look at his future in greater detail when the summer comes around but would be up for returning to Stamford Bridge given Liam Rosenior is now in charge. Jackson had his difficulties with former head coach Enzo Maresca and wanted to depart the west London club.
However, Jackson's loan spell at Bayern has not gone to plan. The German club signed Jackson last summer for an initial loan fee of £14.3million, with a further £56.2million if a specific number of appearances in the Bundesliga and the Champions League are made.

Jackson needs to make around 40 appearances, football.london understands, though the 24-year-old striker is unlikely to reach that figure this season. Bayern are unlikely to pursue a deal to sign the Chelsea forward on a permanent basis once his loan contract at the Allianz Arena expires.
There are numerous clubs from Spain, Italy and elsewhere in the Premier League with a keen interest in Jackson and are understood to be keeping a close eye on his situation. All options remain on the table for Jackson but the striker's focus remains on seeing out his contract in Munich and helping Vincent Kompany's side clinch the Bundesliga title and also compete in the Champions League.
Chelsea currently have Joao Pedro, Liam Delap and Marc Guiu as their No.9 options. The plan was for Guiu to be out on loan this season, with the 20-year-old signing for Sunderland last summer, only to be recalled when Jackson departed for Bayern.
Emanuel Emegha will arrive from Strasbourg in time for the 2026/27 season after Chelsea agreed a deal with their sister club for the Netherlands international to switch to Stamford Bridge.
