Chelsea look set to complete at least another five transfers despite having already sanctioned up to 20 deals this summer. The majority of those have been exits with Noni Madueke arguably the biggest name to depart as he became the latest Blues star to join Arsenal.
Decent fees being obtained for Joao Felix, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Djorde Petrovic also allowed no real money to be lost even after deals for Joao Pedro, Jorrel Hato and Jamie Gittens. Armando Broja and Lesley Ugochukwu joining Burnley for a combined £40million now looks set to help Chelsea fund their next two signings.
Xavi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho are both in talks to make the move to Stamford Bridge while another defensive addition cannot be ruled out following the injury to Levi Colwill, though it does not look as though Marc Guehi will be returning.
Discussions for Simons with RB Leipzig appear much more advanced than the negotiations involving Manchester United and Garnacho. However, that may be about to change with the key stumbling block stopping progress perhaps no longer an issue.
With all of that being said, football.london has provided a fresh perspective on the latest Chelsea transfer topics and rumours.
Guehi transfer twist
Despite Colwill's serious knee injury, the Telegraph are claiming that Chelsea are prioritising other transfer targets and as such, Liverpool are in pole position to sign Guehi from Crystal Palace.
The FA Cup winners' asking price, though unclear, may be what has put Chelsea off with it expected to be high even though he has just 12 months remaining on his contract.
football.london says: Chelsea not actively pursuing Guehi is a somewhat unexpected update considering the fact he would be perfect for the left centre-back role.
The recent arrival of Hato may have impacted that decision especially as a number of others are also capable of filling in, which includes Benoit Badiashile who is expected back from injury next month. Despite their Guehi decision, the Blues bringing in another defender is certainly plausible.
If Guehi does indeed move to Anfield, while it does strengthen a rival, Chelsea will at least financially benefit with a 20 per cent sell-on clause included in his switch to Selhurst Park. Therefore, a £50million deal being agreed would see Chelsea bank £10million.

Sesko deal confirmed with Garnacho impact
Chelsea have already agreed personal terms with Garnacho but are currently £10million away from Man United's valuation. However, that could be about to change.
On Saturday, the arrival of Benjamin Sesko at Old Trafford was confirmed with RB Leipzig set to pocket at least £66.3million. Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha also arriving in bumper deals means United are in real need of selling players.
Garnacho is an obvious candidate to help raise funds with the Blues likely aware of United's potential financial problems and thus it seems more likely an agreement will be reached closer to £40million.
football.london says: Garnacho joining Chelsea this summer appears inevitable given his souring relationship with Ruben Amorim and the long-term interest from west London.
The Blues can certainly use that to their advantage in negotiations, especially as they could quite easily opt against signing the 21-year-old and still have adequate squad depth heading into the new season.
United's £50million asking price for Garnacho is more than fair but the public falling outs and lack of pre-season minutes showcases clearly they want him gone and thus all of the bargaining power is with Chelsea and the Sesko deal just reinforces their advantage.
