Chelsea proved why they are now dining back at the top table with Europe's biggest clubs after thumping Barcelona 3-0 in the Champions League on Tuesday evening

There were so many impressive elements to Chelsea's red-hot display that saw them wipe the floor with Barcelona. However, there is just no getting away from the fact Estevao is a mercurial talent that looks capable of dominating world football for many years to come.

His excellent second-half goal was a reflection of his outstanding talent and if anyone has watched Chelsea this season, it will come as no surprise because the 18-year-old looks capable of inflicting damage every time he collects the ball.

It seems almost comical that Estevao was an unused substitute against Burnley on Saturday at Turf Moor because just three sleeps later, he's ripped apart arguably the biggest - or most iconic - club on the planet.

You can't help but wonder how many more levels he has to climb because we are already staring at an impeccable player and one of the best wingers in all of Europe.

The best part of it all? He cost just an initial £29million from Palmeiras. That is effectively peanuts in the modern-day transfer market.

Chelsea have been frequently scrutinised for the amount of cash they have spent in the Clearlake Capital era but Estevao has saved them millions. He is a global phenomenon in the making.

The youngster looks ready to lead the Brazil national team into a new era as a teenager ahead of next summer's World Cup and additionally, he is already the Selecao's top goalscorer under Carlo Ancelotti.

His new transfer valuation is surely now at £100million as a minimum and even then, Chelsea would have no interest in a sale even if the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona came calling.

All the big clubs scattered around Europe must be wondering how they missed the boat because Estevao really is that good, when he is on song, he is virtually unstoppable and unfortunately for rivals, he is only going to get better given he's supposedly still adapting to European football.

He also has the perfect coach for his development in Enzo Maresca because the Italian never lets him get too far ahead of himself, though Maresca has even said that Estevao is incredibly humble for a player of such talent and potential.

Benching him against Burnley proved to be a masterstroke because with the world watching on, the Brazilian gem felt as though he had something to prove and he did just that, embarrassing Barcelona with his silky dribbling and ruthless finishing ability.

On a night where Lamine Yamal barely had a sniff, it was somewhat fitting that Estevao stole the spotlight because these two look set to embark on a Cristiano Ronaldo vs Lionel Messi-esque rivalry for the next decade or so.

Chelsea have signed the new face of their project and Estevao is the kind of player - alongside Cole Palmer - that can put the Blues back upon their perch.
