Chelsea and Liam Rosenior are gearing up for their Champions League clash against Napoli as they look to secure their place in the next phase of Europe's top competition. The Blues match up against former boss Antonio Conte, whose side desperately need points to find their way into the playoffs.

Liam Rosenior's side sit in eighth, the final spot for automatic progression. The west London side are holding on via goal difference at the moment, with eight teams level on 13 points. Three of those are in the top eight.

"In football, in the Champions League, in Serie A, in the Premier League, you can never expect anything," said Liam Rosenior said ahead of the game. "The competition level is so high. Napoli are a great team. They proved that last year with a fantastic title.

"When they have outstanding individual players, they have a world-class coach. They're still in the position where they can get through. We're aware of that. I think it will make for an exciting game because Napoli have to win. Also, for us to have a realistic chance of the top eight, we also need to win."

Chelsea received a couple of injury boosts as Cole Palmer and Filip Jorgensen both travelled to southern Italy. Will they be available to start at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium?
