1. Careful Cole Palmer process to manage fitness: Although he is back on the pitch and scoring, his playing time is being strictly limited to ensure he does not play multiple games in a short period. He scored in the win over Everton but was left out of the squad altogether at Cardiff.
2. Estevão Willian's muscle problem. Like Palmer, he missed the recent Carabao Cup victory over Cardiff and is expected to sit out the upcoming match against Newcastle to ensure a full recovery. "He had a small problem, a muscle problem," Maresca said. "He won't be available for Newcastle, and we'll see for the next one."
3. Liam Delap boost: While he will miss the remainder of the 2025 calendar year, medical staff have confirmed there is no fracture, and he should return in early January. Delap suffered a shoulder injury against Bournemouth at the start of the month.
