Chelsea Made Inquiry for PSG Star Amid Fading Manchester United Transfer Interest

1 day ago 27

PSG are facing increasing uncertainty at the goalkeeper position, with Lucas Chevalier emerging as a possible long-term solution. Gianluigi Donnarumma remains under contract until 2026, but talks over a new deal have stalled, and no agreement appears close.

Manchester United are reportedly evaluating their goalkeeper options, and Donnarumma is among the names being considered.

According to RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins, Donnarumma is still with PSG, but his representatives are exploring potential destinations. Manchester United, Manchester City, Galatasaray, and several Saudi clubs have all shown interest.

For now, Donnarumma is still committed to PSG and isn’t pushing for an exit—unless the right opportunity presents itself. Internally, there’s still a chance he competes with Chevalier for the starting role, with Luis Enrique expected to make the final call, per Hawkins.

Journalist Marc Mechenoua reports that Manchester United have inquired about Donnarumma’s situation with PSG. However, unless there is a significant clear-out, the Red Devils will unlikely pursue this matter further. Chelsea has also sought information.

The report adds that Al-Ittihad and Galatasaray are offering him close to €20 million per year, as Chelsea and Manchester City have also made inquiries.

Meanwhile, Corriere dello Sport recently reported that Manchester United have emerged as the favorite to sign Donnarumma. Talks have occurred recently between the goalkeeper’s representatives and the club.
