Chelsea are close to completing their latest summer signing with Jorrel Hato on the verge of completing a £34million move from Ajax. The 19-year-old has agreed to sign a seven-year contract at Stamford Bridge and is expected to travel to London for a medical once approval has been given.
Should the Blues get a deal over the line, Hato would become the eighth new addition through the doors after Jamie Gittens, Liam Delap, Joao Pedro, Estevao, Dario Essugo, Mamadou Sarr and Kendry Paez signed for Enzo Maresca's side. They have spent in excess of £200m in the process.
However, Chelsea's spending is not anticipated to stop there. As well as signing Hato, his Netherlands teammate Xavi Simons is closing in on a blockbuster move to west London.

Premier League loan approach
Sunderland are in talks with Chelsea to sign Marc Guiu, according to Sky Sports. The 19-year-old is available on loan and the Black Cats have made an approach to the Blues.
The former Barcelona man could be the striker that Sunderland decide to add to their ranks ahead of the new season. Guiu scored six goals in 16 appearances for Chelsea last season.
football.london says: "I think this could be the perfect destination for Guiu to go out on loan next season. The teenager needs to get regular game time and he might be able to get that at Sunderland, due to the fact they are light up front. He would compete with Wilson Isidor for the No.9 shirt at the Stadium of Light."
Chukwuemeka move
According to Tuttosport, Carney Chukwuemeka's representatives have explored a potential summer move to Juventus for the Chelsea midfielder.
In January, it was claimed that Juventus spoke to Chelsea about signing Chukwuemeka, though nothing happened in the end. Instead, the former Aston Villa man moved to Borussia Dortmund on loan.
Now, with Chukwuemeka back at Chelsea, he is expected to leave the Blues once again, but this time on a permanent deal. He isn't part of Enzo Maresca's long-term plans in west London.
football.london says: "Chelsea need to offload players and Chukwuemeka is someone the Blues can afford to lose. The 21-year-old has made just 32 first-team appearances since his £20million move from Villa in August 2022. In fact, he played just five times under Enzo Maresca before he joined Dortmund on loan in January.
"The Blues have strength in depth in midfield and it doesn't look like Chukwuemeka is going to feature much at all next season. A permanent departure would be the best all-around."
