Chelsea Poised to Challenge Real Madrid, PSG for €50M-Rated Liverpool Standout

Liverpool center back Ibrahima Konaté has yet to sign a contract extension this summer, fueling transfer speculation. Both PSG and Real Madrid have been linked to the French defender.

According to a recent report from Diario AS, Real Madrid is interested but only if Liverpool lowers their asking price. The Spanish club could offer between €20 million and €25 million, while Liverpool reportedly wants around €50 million.

Konaté is said to be open to a move, and Madrid might prefer to wait until 2026, when he could leave on a free transfer, rather than meet Liverpool’s current valuation.

Foot Mercato recently reported that Konaté has been offered to several top European clubs—including PSG, Real Madrid, and Barcelona—making a move more likely once his contract expires.

Diario AS reports that Chelsea have entered the race to sign Konaté from Liverpool. Moreover, this news comes after Marca reported that Liverpool plan to offer Konaté a new contract in the coming days, and if he turns it down, they will likely put him up for sale this summer.
