Hello and welcome to football.london for live coverage of Calum McFarlane’s pre-match press conference this afternoon.
The Chelsea Under-21s boss will take today's presser following the departure of Enzo Maresca yesterday. The Blues and the Italian parted company after 18 months with the former head coach's position viewed as untenable.
The search for Maresca’s successor is well underway, with Strasbourg boss Liam Rosenior emerging as the favourite at the time of writing. However, any appointment is not expected to be done by Sunday afternoon, when Chelsea travel to Manchester City. McFarlane is set to take charge of the Blues at the Etihad Stadium this weekend.

Rosenior the favourite
Liam Rosenior has emerged as the overwhelming favourite to succeed Enzo Maresca as Chelsea head coach, football.london understands.
Rosenior is currently managing Strasbourg, also owned by BlueCo, and is someone the ownership group really appreciate. Strasbourg will need to find a replacement for the 41-year-old before such move materialises, though.
