Chelsea, PSG Tipped as Potential Landing Spots for Real Madrid Star

The future of Vinicius Jr. at Real Madrid could be in jeopardy, and PSG might be a benefit. After this 2025-26 season, the Brazilian will have one year left on his contract with his current agreement expiring in June 2027.

As a result, the Spanish club need to ink the attacker to a new contract; if not, they will need to consider selling the player next summer rather than risking him walking away as a free agent.

Moreover, with the arrival of Kylian Mbappe last year, could the Frenchman’s arrival tempt the La Liga side to sell high on a player and use that sum to build a team around the former PSG player?

Transfer insider Graeme Bailey told The Chelsea Chronicle that Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly would love to land a “generational player” like Vinicius, even if it goes against the club’s targeting of younger, developing talents. Bailey added that Boehly is especially drawn to the “commercial gains” the Real Madrid star could bring to Stamford Bridge.

Saudi clubs remain interested in Vinicius and are willing to offer him massive wages, but Bailey noted that the forward “does not want to go” to the Middle East. Instead, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Liverpool are seen as his primary Premier League suitors, with a move to England becoming increasingly attractive to him.

Bailey still believes the most likely outcome is Vinicius signing a new deal with Real Madrid, though he’s reportedly “not happy” and feels “unsettled” in Spain.

Meanwhile, SPORT reports that Vinicius would be open to reuniting with Luis Enrique at PSG. It will be interesting to see how this entire saga transpires, but Mbappe could see the Neymar Jr. story repeat itself in Spain.
