Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca could soon be fighting for his job after a string of poor Premier League results and bizarre comments
Results must improve for Chelsea in January for Enzo Maresca to stay in his job, football.london understands. The Blues drew with Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge last night with it now one win out of their last seven Premier League fixtures.
Another disappointing result at home - four days on from losing to Aston Villa - has seen pressure on Maresca increase. Just a few months ago, Chelsea appeared to be in a title race and had just beaten Barcelona.
However, decisions made by Maresca, performances on the pitch over the last few weeks and unprovoked comments from the Italian has seen him placed under more pressure than ever before.
Chelsea, without Moises Caicedo due to suspension, face Manchester City this weekend at Etihad Stadium before another away clash against Fulham. Maresca's side then have FA and Carabao Cup games to focus on against Charlton and Arsenal, respectively. The latter clash is a semi-final first leg that Caicedo is also unavailable for.
