The latest Chelsea transfer news as the Blues consider interest in one of their academy stars
There is significant interest in Chelsea's academy star Ato Ampah this month, football.london understands. Multiple Championship clubs are keen on signing the 19-year-old before the transfer window closes next month.
Several Italian clubs are also interested in signing Ampah in this window, with both loan and permanent moves being considered. Back in June of last year, Ampah signed a contract extension at Stamford Bridge until 2028, having been part of the club's academy system since Under-11 level.
Ampah made his first-team debut for Chelsea in December 2024, coming on as a second-half substitute in the Conference League win against Astana in Kazakhstan. The teenage talent has trained with the senior squad on multiple occasions this season, while he has featured 13 times for the Blues' Under-21s side this term.

Tyrique George, another player from the Cobham conveyor belt, could also be on his way out of the club in this transfer window. There is plenty of interest in the 19-year-old winger from elsewhere in the Premier League, as well as overseas. Chelsea are open to letting George leave the club as he looks for frequent game time.
George has featured just four times in the top-flight for the Blues this season. Saturday afternoon's 2-0 win over Brentford at Stamford Bridge was the first time the England Under-21 international made a matchday squad in the Premier League in almost three months.
Fulham came close to signing George on a permanent deal last summer. Chelsea's west London neighbours had everything agreed for George to link up with Marco Silva and his squad, but Harry Wilson's failed move to Leeds United saw Fulham pull the plug in the end.
