Robert Sanchez has predicted that Cole Palmer will only improve after the Chelsea star bagged a hat-trick in the Blues' win over Wolves on Saturday afternoon.

Palmer struck three goals in the first-half at Molineux as the west Londoners left the West Midlands with maximum points. The 23-year-old has struggled with fitness issues all season-long with his groin injury a complex one for Chelsea to manage.

However, the Blues got something close to Palmer's best on Saturday, though Sanchez believes there is still plenty more to come from the England international this season.

"He's brilliant," said Sanchez about Palmer. "He's not even at 100% yet, he has just come back from injury, and still managed a hat-trick.

"We're very happy. Everyone knows how good he is, so he needs to keep it up. He's only going to get better."

Liam Rosenior was also full of praise for Palmer post-match. The newly-appointed Chelsea head coach, who recorded his seventh victory in nine matches on Saturday, has not asked for Palmer to do anything different in order to adapt to his style.

"Same as he's always been," Rosenior replied when asked if Palmer has been asked to adapt. "I don't want him to change, that's for sure."

"He's played a lot of football for the last year, with not much rest, but when he's at his best, he's unstoppable, and I'm delighted to be working with him."

Rosenior continued: "He doesn't need to change. When he's fully, fearfully firing, feeling good, he is a magnificent footballer. But when you're at a club like [Chelsea], with the huge demands and scrutiny, which I'm starting to learn myself, you have to block out the noise and you have to remember what a good player you are.

"I love working with him. He loves being here, and hopefully, now we can really enjoy his football between now and the end of the season because it helps us on the pitch."
