Chelsea still need to complete another 23 deals for dream summer transfer window

2 hours ago 45

Chelsea have made Jorrel Hato their 11th signing of the summer transfer window.

Hato is the latest addition after Dario Essugo, Estevao Willian, Jamie Gittens, Jesse Derry, Joao Pedro, Kendry Paez, Kian Best, Liam Delap, Mamadou Sarr and Mike Penders. Three of those - Paez, Penders and Sarr - have already gone out on loan to Strasbourg, where Ishe Samuels-Smith and Mathis Amougou have completed permanent moves.

Bashir Humphreys, Caleb Wiley, Djordje Petrovic, Dylan Williams, Eddie Beach, Joao Felix, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Leo Castledine, Lucas Bergstrom, Luke Campbell, Marcell Washington, Marcus Bettinelli, Noni Madueke, Teddy Sharman-Lowe and Zak Sturge have also departed.

Soon to join those 20 players to have moved away permanently or on loan is Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, for whom Everton have agreed a £28million deal to sign, football.london understands. Lesley Ugochukwu is close to securing a move to Burnley, who are also due to permanently sign Armando Broja.

Marc Guiu is another player on the way to a newly-promoted club, with Sunderland agreeing terms over a loan move. The Blues are again in talks with Borussia Dortmund over a permanent deal for Carney Chukwuemeka, who RB Leipzig have also enquired about.

That move came during negotiations for Xavi Simons, with whom Chelsea have broadly agreed on personal terms. They have, however, yet to find common ground with the Bundesliga club, but football.london understands there remains confidence among the player's entourage that the Netherlands international will join the Blues.

Alejandro Garnacho is who the club could turn to should Simons sign. Moving for the Argentina international could pave the way for Tyrique George to leave the club, with there understood to be mass interest in the teenager and concerns over a lack of game time this coming season.

Minutes will be even more limited for Axel Disasi, Ben Chilwell and Raheem Sterling after returning from their respective loans to other Premier League clubs last term. David Datro Fofana and Renato Veiga should also depart again, while there remains an expectation that Christopher Nkunku will leave.

Aaron Anselmino, Alex Matos, Alfie Gilchrist, Gabriel Slonina, Jimmy-Jay Morgan, Kiano Dyer, Omari Kellyman, Ronnie Stutter and Sam Rak-Sakyi could also do with loans to EFL clubs this coming season.
