The eyes of the football world are always on Stamford Bridge on January transfer deadline day.
Chelsea are known for making a splash on the most chaotic day in world football. Whether it's signing Fernando Torres from Liverpool for £50million in 2011 or breaking the Premier League transfer record to bring Enzo Fernandez, the Blues can be trusted to make a statement signing.
However, this month, it has been quiet on the transfer front. Talented 19-year-old Frenchman Jeremy Jacquet has been linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge throughout this month, with a new central defender understood to be Liam Rosenior's priority. But Premier League rivals Liverpool are now set to sign him instead.

Defence has certainly been an issue for Rosenior, since he was confirmed as Enzo Maresca's successor. Chelsea shipped two first-half goals against West Ham United, before turning it around to secure a 3-2 victory.
It was the third match of Rosenior's reign which has ended 3-2, having lost to Arsenal and beaten Napoli by the same score-line. He also said himself a new central defender arriving is possible, in a recent press conference.

He said: "It's a possibility. Every area we are looking to strengthen. Certain players can come and they can strengthen you. If we see something that will improve the team we know the guys will do it. There is a possibility it could be busy, and a possibility it could be quiet."
