Nicolas Jackson has agreed to join Bayern Munich on loan as reports suggest Chelsea have landed a €15million (£12m) loan fee for the striker. Following the Blues' summer spending, which saw Liam Delap and Joao Pedro enter the fray, the Senegal international has seen his chances of regular game time decrease.
According to reports, Jackson will join the Bundesliga giants on loan with the deal including a buy option worth €80m (£69m) with a sell-on clause. The 24-year-old, who has not been named in each of Chelsea's opening two Premier League matches, is expected to fly to Bavaria to complete his medical ahead of the deadline on Monday - which is earlier for German clubs.
Jackson hasn't featured for the Blues since their 2-0 win over Fluminense in the Club World Cup, where he made a 30-minute cameo. It was his third and final appearance in the competition during a difficult run out for him which saw him sent off against Flamengo.
The former Villarreal star enjoyed a promising start to his career at Stamford Bridge, scoring 14 Premier League goals in his opening season, including a treble against London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
However, his output and appearances have diminished, making double figures in England's top-flight last year. A red card against Newcastle United spelt the end of his Premier League campaign prematurely.
