Hello and welcome to football.london for live coverage of Chelsea’s Premier League opener against Crystal Palace.
The Blues kick off their 2025/26 season with the Eagles the visitors to Stamford Bridge this afternoon. Enzo Maresca has the difficult challenge on building on what was a mightily impressive debut campaign at the club, where he led his side to two major trophies and qualification for the Champions League.
Getting the new season off to the perfect start is always imperative and it all begins this afternoon. Chelsea, though, will have to do that without Nicolas Jackson (suspended), Levi Colwill (injury), Benoit Badiashile (injury) and Romeo Lavia (injury). Either way, Chelsea have more than enough options today and go into the match as big favourites.
