Hello and welcome to Stamford Bridge for live coverage of Chelsea's Premier League fixture with Newcastle United this evening.

Less than 72 hours after losing to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League last 16 first leg, the Blues are back in action today. The Magpies, who played out a 1-1 draw with Barcelona on Tuesday night, are the visitors to SW6 with both sides having half an eye on the return legs in a few days' time.

While Chelsea have it all to do when PSG come to west London on Tuesday evening, the tie is not out of Liam Rosenior's side's grasp just yet. It will be interesting to see the sort of approach Rosenior takes for this evening's match given the tight turnaround.

Make no mistake about it, though, today's game is hugely significant for Chelsea's hopes of finishing in a Champions League place. Rosenior said in yesterday afternoon's press conference that he does not prioritise one competition over another and his team selection today will tell us if he was bluffing or not.
