Christopher Nkunku has posted a 11-word message on social media after his Chelsea exit was confirmed.

The 27-year-old's move to AC Milan was confirmed on Saturday morning, with Nkunku signing a five-year contract at the San Siro. It's understood that Milan have agreed to pay the Blues €35million (£30.2million), plus a further €5million (£4.3million) in add-ons, for the Frenchman.

Nkunku spent two seasons at Stamford Bridge after signing for £52million in the summer of 2023. He leaves west London having scored 18 goals in 62 appearances, although it was mutually agreed that he can leave this summer after falling out of favour under Enzo Maresca.

After the move was confirmed, Nkunku took to social media to send a message to his teammates and Blues supporters. He wrote: "Thank you for everything @chelseafc. I wish you all the best."

Joao Pedro was among those to take to the comments to wish his former teammate well. The Brazilian wrote: "All the best mlk."

Maresca was asked about Nkunku's exit on Friday ahead of Chelsea's Premier League clash with Fulham. The Italian praised the Frenchman for his attitude and professionalism.

"Christo is a fantastic professional, first of all. With us he was very professional, training very well," Maresca said.

"The only problem with Christo has been that in his position there was another player like Cole, so it was difficult for him to get minutes. But they can expect fantastic things, first of all because he is very professional, and second because he is a very good player."
