Cristian Romero has now sent a 32-word message to Tottenham Hotspur fans following Spurs’ 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
While Thomas Frank has been on the receiving end of much of the criticism in recent weeks, the Tottenham Hotspur players also need to carry their share of responsibility.
They simply need to be better, showing that they are capable of performing at the highest level week in, week out, while also grinding out results when required.
Those performances have been in short supply over the past few months, with victories hard to come by, but on Tuesday night, the players showed what they are capable of.

Tottenham captain Cristian Romero sends message to Spurs fans
A 2-0 victory against second-placed Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund was a much-needed statement from Tottenham, who were desperate for a win, following a run of three consecutive defeats in all competitions.
Following the final whistle, club captain Cristian Romero took to social media to address the supporters and reflect on the significance of the result.
Speaking to fans after the win, Romero said: “We needed this home win. Great performance. There’s still a lot to improve, but we’ll stay together and keep fighting to change the situation. Always grateful for your support, fans. Together always.”
The repetition of the phrase ‘stay together’ after a week of Thomas Frank rumours could signal that Romero remains fully behind his Tottenham manager.

The players had to dig deep to secure the result, particularly given the number of injuries Thomas Frank is currently dealing with.
That proved no obstacle, however, as Spurs produced one of their strongest performances of the season to move up to fourth place in the Champions League league-phase table.
Romero leads Spurs response on the pitch
Romero led by example on the night, opening the scoring after meeting Wilson Odobert’s cross across the goal following a corner.
The captain made it back-to-back goals after also finding the net against West Ham United last weekend, where he scored the equaliser in a game Spurs ultimately failed to take anything from following a late winner.
He can be more consistent across a full season, but when crunch-time moments arrive, he remains a player Spurs can rely on, and last night, he stepped up like a leader and helped his side to a clean sheet.
