Crystal Palace Star Breaks Silence Amid Man Utd, PSG Link

PSG captured the attention of England last season by winning the UEFA Champions League, defeating Liverpool, Aston Villa, and Arsenal along the way.

The French club also faced Premier League teams in other high-profile contests, including the FIFA Club World Cup final against Chelsea and the UEFA Super Cup final against Tottenham Hotspur. That frequent exposure to English sides could make PSG an attractive option for Premier League players considering a move abroad.

Although the 2026 summer transfer window is still months away, European clubs are already identifying targets. PSG are expected to focus on Premier League midfielders as they look to reinforce their squad, though they won’t have the market to themselves.

TBR Football recently noted that Crystal Palace is aware that keeping Adam Wharton long-term could be difficult, but is considering a new deal to extend his contract through 2027.

Should Wharton decide to leave, overseas interest is expected to be high, with Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and PSG reportedly tracking the young playmaker closely.

Wharton has openly spoken about the rumors connecting him to Manchester United as the January transfer window approaches.

“I don’t really look into it or think too much about it,” Wharton said (h/t Transfer News Live). “There are always rumours floating about on social media. Is it true? Is it not? You tell me. My friends, my family, my brothers, everyone will message me and be like, ‘Is it true this club’s interested?’ I’m like, ‘Thanks for telling me because I didn’t know.’

“I don’t know who’s spreading it or who at United is looking at it. I see it and I’m like, OK’, and then I carry on with my day. United, the big teams, they’re all linked to 10, 20 different players. If I’m one of 20, then it’s nothing special, so it doesn’t really mean too much. I speak with my agent about planning ahead and possibilities.

“But at the end of the day, it is who’s interested and who’s willing to try and get you and if that becomes the case? You can speak about it, but you’ve got to represent that on the pitch and prove that you deserve it.”
