Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Tottenham star Destiny Udogie has now made a big change off the field, which could potentially impact his future.
The current Tottenham squad has healthy competition for places in some areas, while the squad is still lacking in depth in other positions.
One area where competition is strong is at full-back, with Thomas Frank admitting that he has three top-class full-backs at his disposal.
The player who has seen the least game time out of the three so far this season is Destiny Udogie, with Djed Spence getting the nod to start at left-back more often than not.
Destiny Udogie makes a change which could affect his Tottenham future
Udogie has impressed over recent weeks when opportunities have come his way, but the Italian is not guaranteed to start at the moment.
There was some speculation over the 22-year-old’s future back in the summer, with Italian outlets suggesting that Udogie may be tempted to move to a bigger club.
There were also rumours that Man City were eyeing a move for Udogie, but the left-back stayed put at N17.
Interestingly, Fabrizio Romano has now revealed that the former Udinese man has changed his agent and is now represented by Elite Project Group.
Spurs are unlikely to consider selling Udogie
If not for the Italy international’s injuries over the past 18 months, there is reason to believe that he would have been discussed among the best young left-backs in the world at the moment.
Udogie had an exceptional first season at Tottenham, and even after that, he has continued to show regular glimpses of his quality.
It is thus unlikely that Spurs will listen to offers for the full-back anytime soon, and we should not be reading too much into his decision to change his representation
