Arsenal could receive a major boost before they take on Tottenham Hotspur in the North London Derby at the Emirates on September 23.

The international break is something most football fans dread, and many Spurs fans will have already cast their minds forward to the big fixture coming up in two weeks.

The Lilywhites travel to the Emirates for the first North London derby of the season, looking to cause an upset against the league leaders, who have lost just once all season.

Spurs boast of the best away record in the Premier League, and that is something they will take confidence from, despite their struggles over recent weeks.

Arsenal could welcome five players back against Tottenham

The Standard have now reported that Noni Madueke will be fit for the North London derby after coming close to making the matchday squad against Sunderland.

The outlet claims that Viktor Gyokeres, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard are also all pushing to be fit for the big clash.

It is revealed that their availability could depend on the progress that they make over the coming days at Arsenal’s training ground.

It thus appears that the Lilywhites could go up against a full-strength Gunners side in two weeks.

Spurs could also welcome some key players back

Tottenham currently have 11 players on the treatment table, but several of them are edging close to a return.

It has been suggested that the likes of Mohamed Kudus, Dominic Solanke, Archie Gray, Ben Davies, Radu Dragusin, Kota Takai, Lucas Bergvall and Yves Bissouma may be back fit after the international break.

However, Spurs will be without Randal Kolo Munai, who faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after fracturing his jaw in the 2-2 draw against Man United.
