The Tottenham striker has sent a message on his recovery from injury after undergoing surgery earlier this year.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Dominic Solanke has hinted that it may not be too long until he is back in action as he continues his recovery from an injury.

The forward has been out of action since August with an anke injury, and underwent surgery on the problem back in October. Late last month Thomas Frank refused to put a timeline on Solanke’s return to action.

But the player himself has now seemingly provided a positive update. Posting on his Instagram story, Solanke has shared a picture of him action for Spurs, along with two sand timer emojis, hinting that the wait is getting shorter.

The update comes a few weeks after he shared pictures of himself on social media along with a caption reading: “Positivity through the dark times.”

Solanke recently gave an update on his injury. In an interview with the Athletic, he said: “It’s been very difficult.

“At first, I didn’t think I would be out for too long but we didn’t really understand the extent of the injury.

"I was trying to get back as quickly as I could but it didn’t happen, so I had to have surgery. Since then, I have been working to get back.

“I’m not putting a timeline on it because I’ve been telling everyone ‘I’m going to be back soon’ for the last few months. I’m taking it day by day but hopefully I won’t be much longer.”

Solanke joined Spurs from Bournemouth in the summer of 2024. In his first season with the club he scored 16 goals and provided eight assists in 45 appearances in all competitions.

He has however seeen the current season disrupted by the injury. He has made just two Premier League appearances, with his last coming against Manchester City back in August.

He also featured in the Super Cup clash against PSG earlier in that month. Spurs fell to a 6-5 penalty shootout defeat with Solanke playing the final 18 minutes.

With the busy Christmas period upon us, Frank will be hoping to bring some players back. Solanke is currently on the injury list alongside James Maddison, Destiny Udogie, Brennan Johnson, Radu Dragusin, Dejan Kulusevski and Kota Takai.
