Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai says Arsenal has not won the Premier League title yet, with the Reds looking to put a dent in the Gunners' ambitions on Thursday

Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai has warned Arsenal that there is a long way to go in the Premier League title race, with the Reds seeking to halt the Gunners on Thursday.
Arne Slot's men are currently 14 points behind Arsenal in the Premier League standings, but they did win the reverse fixture at Anfield 1-0 thanks to a Szoboszlai wondergoal. Any sort of result for Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium could mean Manchester City closing the gap — it plays Brighton later today.
"It's a long way," Szoboszlai told Sky Sports. "The Premier League is not easy. You don't win it by January, so I don't think we are playing against the champions. They're playing against the champions.

We know as well. Of course, they are one of the favorites for this year. Unbelievable team, really good players.
"But we shouldn't forget about Manchester City and Aston Villa, who is doing very good. So yeah, we don't play against the champions. They play against the champions."
Ahead of the visit to Arsenal, Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk told reporters that he is looking forward to the game. It could be the biggest test Liverpool faces this season — but a chance to put down a marker ahead of next season.

"First of all, we will recover from this, but from Tuesday on, we will definitely look at the strength that they have," Van Dijk said. "They have a fantastic squad with players on the pitch and also coming from the bench.
"Listen, we all know at home they are unbeaten this season, I think, in all competitions. So it is a nice challenge, and we should be ready for a big fight.
"I'm really looking forward to it, and I think everyone should. That is the only way to try and get a result over there.
"There is no reason to not being looking forward to it, in my opinion. Another opportunity, but first recover and then we'll focus on that."

Arne Slot previewed the game in a press conference on Wednesday, where he explained that Hugo Ekitike is a major injury doubt. The Reds boss is expecting a really tough encounter.
"Their main strength is that they have so many strengths," Slot said. "They hardly have any weaknesses, hardly concede goals.
"They can score from open play, set pieces, have very good ideas about build-up. They are the complete package, and they deserve to be on top."
