Noni Madueke appears to have made an impression upon his Arsenal teammates both on and off the pitch. The England winger completed a £48.5million move to the Emirates Stadium in the summer.
And he had enjoyed a bright start to life on the pitch despite having seen his season curtailed by a serious injury. During his time away from the team, he will certainly be aiming to strengthen bonds with his teammates - albeit fellow summer arrival Eberechi Eze already appears to be a big fan.
The former Crystal Palace star was asked who of his teammates was fastest, and answered by naming Madueke. He was then asked who the funniest was.
Eze replied: “Noni again, you know. Riccy is funny you know man. Can I give it to both of them? Noni and Riccy [Riccardo Calafiori].”
He was then also tempted to name Madueke again when asked which of his teammates he would most want in his team in training but eventually selected Bukayo Saka. Captain Martin Odegaard was named as the most skillful, with Declan Rice awarded the honour of having the best engine.
Eze was then asked who his best friend in the squad was but instead of naming Madueke as he had done for a host of the other questions, he simply replied: “I’ve got too many friends.”
The final question pitched to the winger was which current Arsenal star would make the best manager. He said: “David Raya. He’s just got that personality. Would I like to play under David Raya? Yeah. He’s got good ideas.”
Eze - and his teammates - will be hoping for a positive weekend ahead of the international break. The Gunners welcome London rivals West Ham to the Emirates Stadium on Saturday and could potentially claim top spot in the Premier League with victory.
Eze, 27, has one goal and two assists in seven appearances for Arsenal so far - albeit he is yet to find the net in the Premier League.
The winger will hope to make an impression ahead of the international break.
He has been named in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad ahead of upcoming games against Wales and Latvia.
Eze has 13 caps for the Three Lions so far during his career, and scored his first goal for the Three Lions against Latvia earlier this year.
