Eberechi Eze to Arsenal transfer latest as Crystal Palace release update

1 day ago 69

Arsenal transfer target Eberechi Eze has returned to Crystal Palace for pre-season training this week amid ongoing uncertainty over his future this summer.

Eze has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer with football.london reporting last week that the Gunners will look to register an interest in the England international soon.

Arsenal have already moved to sign Kepa Arrizabalaga, Christian Norgaard and Martin Zubimendi this summer. Noni Madueke, Cristian Mosquera and Viktor Gyokere are all expected to follow.

Mikel Arteta's men aren't expected to stop there and Eze has been tipped to be one of the priority targets once Gyokeres arrives. Real Madrid's Rodrygo has also been linked but Eze's £68million release clause offers Andrea Berta a clear pathway to sign him.

Right now, after featuring for England in last month's international break, Eze was handed an extended break during the summer. On Wednesday, he returned to Palace's training ground to begin preparations for the 2025/26 season.

The Eagles' social media team posted a number of images of their international players returning to south London. Goalkeeper Dean Henderson was one of the players pictured before Eze's arrival was shared.

Posting two images of the Arsenal target on X, Palace wrote: "Ebere Eze, it's good to see you."

Palace kick-off their pre-season schedule next Friday against Crawley Town before they travel to Austria to take on FSV Mainz and FC Augsburg. It remains to be seen whether Eze will still be at the club when they face Liverpool in the Community Shield on August 10.

Once Gyokeres and Madueke are signed, it's anticipated that Arsenal will prioritise a move for Eze to further strengthen their attack.
