Eintracht Frankfurt Await New Newcastle Offer for €80M-Rated Man Utd Target With PSG Clause

Newcastle United and Liverpool are reportedly interested in Hugo Ekitiké, who could leave Eintracht Frankfurt this summer. PSG, his former club, stand to benefit from any transfer thanks to a 20 percent sell-on clause.

According to Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, Ekitiké is high on Liverpool’s list of attacking targets. However, the 23-year-old French striker knows that a move to Anfield likely depends on player departures, most notably Darwin Núñez.

GIVE ME SPORT recently reported that Liverpool are open to talks with Frankfurt, though a deal may only happen if Núñez is sold.

The report also mentions that Liverpool’s willingness to negotiate has encouraged Frankfurt, who are holding firm on their £86 million valuation. With several new arrivals already signed, parting ways with Núñez could open the door for Ekitiké.

On Tuesday, Plettenberg reported that Eintracht Frankfurt are still waiting on a new offer from Newcastle for Ékitiké.

He also noted that another club has verbally indicated a willingness to outbid Newcastle after their €80 million offer was rejected. Plettenberg added that Manchester United remain very interested in Ékitiké.
