England 2026 World Cup kit released as Harry Kane leads Nike Three Lions campaign

England have revealed their new Nike kit as preparations build for this summer's World Cup

England have unveiled their new home and away kits for the 2026 World Cup, with Nike adding a three‑word slogan on the collar as a standout detail. This time, though, the sports manufacturer has opted for a safer design, following the controversy in 2024 when the traditional red-and-white St George's Cross on the collar was altered to include purple, blue and black stripes.

The new kit is modelled by captain Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham in the announcement video, with both wearing the white home strip. Nottingham Forest's Elliot Anderson and Marcus Rashford are shown in the red away shirt, which features the England badge in the centre. Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford appears in a blue kit, also with the badge positioned centrally.

Thomas Tuchel's squad return to action this month with friendlies against Uruguay and Japan, before facing Costa Rica in June in their final warm‑up ahead of the tournament in June.

On Friday morning, Tuchel announced his 35‑man squad, with Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur all represented.

The upcoming fixtures give him one of his final opportunities to fine‑tune England's plans ahead of the World Cup, which will be staged across the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Arsenal have four players in the latest England squad, with Bukayo Saka, Noni Madueke, Eberechi Eze and Declan Rice all receiving call-ups.

Chelsea's sole representative is Cole Palmer, as Reece James and Trevoh Chalobah miss out while continuing their recovery from injury.

Tottenham contribute two players, with Dominic Solanke earning a place alongside teammate Djed Spence.

Elsewhere, Brighton goalkeeper Jason Steele has been included, while Leeds striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Everton midfielder James Garner have also been selected by Tuchel.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins and Real Madrid's Trent Alexander-Arnold missed out on a call-up.

Explaining his decision, the German head coach said: "My general thoughts are March is like a bit of an odd one, like the June one.

"It is in a period where players are heavily involved in cup semi-finals, Champions League semi-finals and at the end of the season, they fight for not being relegated or making international or European places, fighting for championships and for titles, so it is a very stressful and very demanding period of time.

"We have obviously done our homework, we have qualified, so it leaves us with two friendlies which is a good thing. The opponents are very strong opponents, given the style of play and given the ranking. It has its demands, this window.

"We decided then to divide it in basically two camps almost, so we bring players in that we haven’t seen that haven’t played so much to open up the picture and to open up the competition for plane tickets to the US.

"Then from Friday/Saturday, a group of players will come into camp – ten or eleven players will come who get a rest before and we will then go with a new group of players and a new mix of players into the match against Japan."

This summer, England will compete in Group L, where Croatia, Ghana and Panama await in the opening stage of the tournament.
