England skipper Leah Williamson joined Sarina Wiegman's squad for a training session in Zurich ahead of their crunch Euro 2025 semi-final clash against Italy.
Concerns had been raised about the Arsenal defender's fitness for the match in Geneva on Tuesday evening after she suffered an ankle injury during the nail-biting penalty shootout win over Sweden that saw the Lionesses progress.
The entire 23-woman squad took to the Sportanlage Au training grounds as they geared up for their sixth successive appearance in a major tournament semi-final, with Jess Carter also present despite her recent decision to withdraw from social media following racist abuse.
Esme Morgan, Williamson's defensive teammate, expressed her readiness on Saturday to fill any position required by Wiegman, including covering for Williamson if needed.
However, Morgan remained hopeful, stating: "We are very optimistic that Leah will be available. I want what's best for the team and that's absolutely having our captain on the pitch for us."
Wiegman is set to provide further updates during her semi-final press conference scheduled for 5.45pm UK time.
