Enzo Fernandez has been linked with a move away from Chelsea in recent weeks with Real Madrid said to be interested in the Argentina international
Enzo Fernandez has doubled down on his controversial comments last week and reiterated his intention to assess his future after this summer's World Cup.
The Argentina international added fuel to the fire last week where he failed to commit his future to Chelsea. The club's vice-captain, speaking moments after the Champions League last-16 second leg defeat to Paris Saint-Germain, said: "I don't know [whether he will leave Chelsea], there are eight games left and the FA Cup. There's the World Cup and then we'll see."
Real Madrid and PSG have been linked with a move for Fernandez, but the 25-year-old midfielder is not focused on that at the moment. While he said there have not been any talks with Real Madrid, Fernandez once again said it is a decision that will be made after the World Cup.

"No, honestly, nothing, zero talks," said Fernandez. "Now we're focused on Chelsea and what's left of the last few games this season and then we'll see after the World Cup."
Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior said last week that Fernandez is happy at the club: "I think I had a great conversation with Enzo at length this morning [last Thursday] before training, not just about his comments, just how he was feeling, how as a team we can improve.
"He's one of the captains of the club. What I would say is that he made it really, really clear to me how happy he is here at this club, how much he wants to win, how passionate he is for us to be successful. And he also said that in translation and in emotion, things get misconstrued in what he said.
"So for me, he's fully committed to this group, he's fully committed to winning here at this football club."
