Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca is under mounting pressure at the club, with speculation rife that his 18-month stint in charge at Stamford Bridge could be coming to an end.
The Italian manager joined the club in the summer of 2024 - after leading Leicester City to the EFL Championship title. In his first season in charge, he led them to a fourth-placed finish and glory in the Europa Conference League.
There was also joy in the Club World Cup last summer. Chelsea beat PSG in the final to lift that trophy.
Chelsea currently sit in fifth place in the Premier League table, but pressure had been mounting on Maresca. One win in their last seven league games meant that questions had been asked.
As reported by football.london, the last few results meant Maresca was under increased pressure at the club.
Speculation had been further fuelled with comments from the head coach himself. Following the club's 3-1 defeat against Leeds United earlier on this month, Maresca said: "Since I have joined the club, the last 48 hours have been the worst because many people didn't support us."
Following Tuesday evening's 2-2 draw with Bournemouth, Maresca missed his post-match press conference with illness. There are now growing concerns that he will leave the club.

Enzo Maresca 'considering Chelsea future' after fallout with club chiefs
Enzo Maresca is reportedly considering his future with Chelsea after falling out with the club's hierarchy.
As per Sky Sports, the 45-year-old could opt to resign from his position after a "breakdown in relations with key figures" at Stamford Bridge. Kaveh Solhekol took to X - formerly Twitter - to write of the ongoing situation: "Enzo Maresca is considering his position as Chelsea head coach.
"Maresca may decide to resign after a breakdown in relations with key figures at the club. Maresca has stood by the comments he made on December 13th that many people at the club were not supporting him - or the team."
It comes as the Italian head coach has struggled for consistent form with the Blues of late, achieving just one win from his last seven Premier League matches. As a result, Chelsea currently sit fifth in the Premier League standings, 15 points shy of table toppers, Arsenal.
