Erling Haaland helped Manchester City claim a dramatic 5-4 win vs Fulham to close the gap on Arsenal at the top of the Premier League table.
Manchester City striker Erling Haaland issued a clear message about Arsenal as the Premier League title race took another twist on Tuesday night.
The Gunners are looking to win the title this campaign for the first time since 2004, and they currently hold a two-point lead at the top of the table.
Man City closed the gap on Tuesday night, though, with a dramatic 5-4 victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Haaland was on the score-sheet for Man City, with Phil Foden adding a brace and Tijjani Reijnders also finding the back of the net, while Sander Berge scored an own goal.
Man City did have a 5-1 lead at one stage of the high-octane contest, before Fulham launched what looked to be an unlikely comeback - with former Arsenal stars Emile Smith Rowe and Alex Iwobi also on the score-sheet before Samuel Chukwueze netted a double to set up a tense finish in the capital.
After the game, Haaland sent a clear message about Arsenal, as an exciting title race continues, with the Norway international outlining why he wasn't happy with the team's performance despite their victory.
"It's important, Arsenal came here and won here," Haaland told Sky Sports.
"Fulham are a great team, but we shouldn't think too much about Arsenal. "We should focus on ourselves, today wasn't good enough and we know this.
"We need to improve as a team. That's what we'll do."
Arsenal will now prepare to face Brentford on Wednesday night at the Emirates Stadium, as they look to restore their five-point lead at the top of the Premier League table.
Mikel Arteta's squad dropped points this weekend during their 1-1 draw with Chelsea, which allowed Man City to close the gap with their victory over Leeds United.
Arteta, meanwhile, shared his own message for Arsenal fans ahead of the clash against Brentford.
"That's an opportunity tomorrow [tonight] at 7.30pm. 7.30pm kick-off to be at the Emirates, bouncing and putting energy to win the game," said the head coach.
"That's the opportunity that we have tomorrow [Wednesday]. 7.30pm. Like animals... Everybody at the Emirates to go again and beat Brentford. That's the opportunity."
