Erling Haaland enjoyed another fine performance against Arsenal, but the Manchester City striker was subject to shocking messages after the game which he shared on social media
Manchester City forward Erling Haaland has claimed he was sent "death threats" after he scored in the 1-1 draw against Arsenal.
The Cityzens forward's sixth goal in five Premier League matches was not enough for Pep Guardiola's side to overcome the Gunners. After the match, Haaland was seen engaging with supporters on and off the pitch.
Shortly after the final whistle the Norwegian powerhouse gave his shirt to a young supporter before walking down the tunnel. When he left the stadium, he uploaded a picture of a small number of Arsenal supporters giving the City players abuse as their bus made its way out of the Emirates Stadium.

While appearing to be eating something, Haaland wrote: "Getting death threats now as well."
On his photograph there was a message from a Snapchat account labelled 'Dara' which said: "You watch yoursel (sic) now mate. Don't dare post another Snapchat story or it will be the end of you."
Given the facial expression of Haaland in the photograph, he was not too perturbed by the message. The Norwegian has often been at odds with Arsenal players and supporters.
Last season, he was videoed patting Gunners' boss Mikel Arteta on the back before saying "Stay humble, eh?" to the Spaniard, which became an iconic saying amongst Arsenal and other football fans.
Not long after, Myles Lewis-Skelly mocked Haaland by doing the striker's zen celebration when he found the net in City's 5-1 away defeat to the Gunners last season.
It was a different story for City and Arsenal in north London, with both sides cancelling each other out. After Haaland gave his side the lead in the first half, City dropped deep and did their best to hold onto their lead.
Their resistance was broken in injury time when Eberechi Eze found Gabriel Martinelli with a lofted pass, allowing the Brazilian to scoop a clever finish over Gianluigi Donnarumma and into the back of the net.
After the match ended in a draw, Guardiola told Sky Sports: "It's difficult to analyse with all that's happened this week. We play games like United and in the Champions League on Thursday and now today.
“The teams are so powerful in all aspects. The resilience - of course, it's so difficult when you're not effective in high pressing and you're not effective in build-up.
"It's always so tough and so difficult to do it. We made some transitions. I think the result is fair. But in general, Arsenal were better. Of course, the schedule has an effect. Your mindset has to be strong. You know how many injuries we have."
