Manchester City defeated Burnley 1-0 on Wednesday night to lift themselves to the top of the Premier League on goals scored
Manchester City striker Erling Haaland was left frustrated by numerous questions on the margin of victory after the Blues beat Burnley 1-0 to move top of the Premier League. City went in front on five minutes as Haaland latched onto a Jeremy Doku through ball to chip Martin Dubravka.
With Burnley staring down the barrel of relegation, they rallied and while City had 28 shots, they were unable to find another goal to make the result comfortable. The narrow win left the Blues on the same points and goal difference as Arsenal, but they moved top on goals scored. After the match, Haaland was awarded Man of the Match and was asked several questions about the scoreline.
He told Sky Sports: "Yeah, we had a lot of chances, but I am happy we won, and anything else, I don't think about. Just try to win." Haaland added: "It is all about winning, no matter how.

"We tried to play our football, and just try to win. That is what you have to have in your mindset, and now, we focus on Saturday." To the third question on goals, he said: "Don't think about other goals. Think about winning, as I've said now three times."
When Haaland was asked for a final time about the margin of victory, he concluded: "1-0 is amazing. I am super happy. I don't know why you keep asking that - I am super happy. We won and we got three points, and as those fans sing, we are top of the league."
City will be bumped off top spot on Saturday if Arsenal avoid defeat to Newcastle in the Premier League. However, the Blues will have a game in hand against Crystal Palace to keep the title race in their hands, regardless of the result.
That fixture has yet to be rearranged due to Palace's involvement in the Conference League. Next up for City is another trip to Wembley when they take on Championship side Southampton in the FA Cup semi-finals.
The winner of that game will face either Chelsea or Leeds in the FA Cup final on Saturday, May 16. City are due to travel to Bournemouth that weekend so if they are victorious, that fixture will also be rearranged.
