Chelsea are looking to get the new season properly underway at the London Stadium this evening as the Blues go head-to-head with West Ham United.
It was a faulty start last weekend for Chelsea, who were held to a goalless draw with Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge. While it was certainly not a terrible performance from the Blues, there was a severe lack of end product in the final third, despite all of the attacking talent on the pitch.
Meanwhile, the Hammers were humiliated by newly-promoted Sunderland with the Black Cats scoring three second-half goals without reply. It has put Graham Potter, who will be taking on his former employers this evening, under immediate pressure in east London.
Enzo Maresca faces different pressure as he looks to improve on what was an impressive debut campaign in SW6. The Chelsea head coach realises how significant three points is this evening but he faces some tough decisions regarding the personnel he chooses - especially given the below-par performance five days ago against the Eagles.
So, with that being said, Bobby Vincent tries to put himself in Maresca's shoes and predict the Chelsea XI at the London Stadium.
