Arsenal have kicked off the new season in the perfect way with a win at Manchester United. However, despite collecting all three points, all is not rosy in north London as the transfer window appears to have a sting in the tail.
Long-term target Eberechi Eze looks closer to a move to Arsenal’s north London rivals Tottenham, while Leandro Trossard is believed to have agreed a new contract with the club. This has put the hopes of a late forward addition in some jeopardy as fans have been left questioning the decision.
There is still plenty of work for Andrea Berta to do, especially when it comes to outgoings. Arteta left eight players out of his side to face United, as the squad remains bloated, with several players surplus to requirements but still on the books.
