FA Cup third round draw in full as Liverpool learns its first opponent

Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool are among the heavyweights who have learned their fate for the third round of the FA Cup. The draw took place on Monday, with all 20 Premier League teams joining the mix along with 24 Championship clubs.

They'll be joined by non-league outfits Macclesfield, Weston-super-Mare, and Boreham Wood, all of whom have made it to the FA Cup's third round. Boreham Wood will face the victors of the final second-round tie yet to be played, as Brackley Town play host to Burton Albion.

Macclesfield have landed a dream tie at home against last year's champions, Crystal Palace. Meanwhile, Weston-super-Mare will make the trip to Grimsby.

Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool will all enjoy home advantage. Liverpool will host Barnsley at Anfield, while City welcomes Exeter and United squares off against Brighton in an all-Premier League clash, mirroring Tottenham versus Aston Villa.

Another captivating fixture is the showdown between Derby County and Leeds United, two clubs with a rich shared history spanning from the Brian Clough era to the 2019 Spygate scandal.

In other fixtures, Chelsea will make the short journey across London to take on Charlton Athletic. Arsenal will venture further south, heading to Portsmouth.

Joe Cole and Peter Crouch were on hand to conduct the live draw on TNT Sports from Brackley's St James' Park. The ties are set to take place around the weekend of Jan. 10-11.

The reward for clinching a third-round match stands at £121,500, while the defeated side will pocket £26,500. If your match is chosen for live TV coverage, that's an additional financial boost.
