Fabrizio Romano has revealed the feeling internally at Tottenham about two of the more experienced players they brought through the door in the summer.
Out of the seven signings that Tottenham made in the summer, some have hit the ground running, while others are yet to really go and hit the expected heights.
One man who has delivered exactly what he was expected to is Joao Palhinha, who has been exceptional in ball recoveries, tackles and interceptions, shielding the back four impressively.
However, Palhinha has been criticised by some pundits for his lack of line-breaking passes, which some view as the main reason for Tottenham’s struggles going forward.

How Tottenham feel about Joao Palhinha and Randal Kolo Muani
However, despite the noise from the outside, Fabirizo Romano has revealed that internally at Tottenham, they are very satisfied with the impact Palhinha has made.
When asked what the feeling is at Spurs about the Portugal international’s first few months at the club, Romano told GiveMeSport: “Very happy. Palhinha adapted immediately very well.”
He also revealed that there is a positive feeling at the club about Randal Kolo Muani after the striker picked up his first assist against Copenhagen.
When quizzed on whether Spurs rate the on-loan PSG man highly, Romano said: “Very happy with both. Kolo is now finding his form slowly after he didn’t have pre-season. But at Spurs, the general feeling is positive with both.”
Pundit claims Kolo Muani can solve a big problem for Spurs
After Tottenham’s win over Copenhagen, Frank suggested that Kolo Muani is still not firing on all cylinders, backing the striker to be even more effective once he builds up his sharpness.
Even though the Frenchman might not have found the back of the net against the Danish side, one pundit was very impressed with his performance.
Danny Murphy saw enough from Kolo Muani to suggest that he could solve Tottenham’s striker issues, adding that the 26-year-old could be a handful for defences to deal with.
